Pyridine N-oxides are a class of stable organic compounds which can act as versatile building blocks for the synthesis of pyridine derivatives.1 Although they have a polar nitrogenoxygen bond, there have been reported a limited number of the examples in which pyridine Noxides participate in cycloaddition as a 1,3-dipole, probably because of the simultaneous disruption of aromaticity.2
