摘要

Hot isostatic pressing is a specific method for the production and treatment of articles and covers a wide spectrum of technological processes applied in electro-metallurgy (pore healing in castings, pressing of powder materials, production of materials with a high density, etx.) and combined treatment of billets using a high pressure and temperature and chemically aggressive media. HIP allows one to exclude grain growth and secondary recrystallization, which is due to the easy and reliable temperature and pressure control throughout the entire process of treatment. The finished product has a proper shape, which decreases the time and costs of the final treatment. Moreover, HIP ensures a high output een for hard-to-treat materials. Gasostatic equipment consists of a complex set of systems, one of which is an electric-heating system. A further improvement in gasostats is related to the development of more accurate calculation procedures and to the search for effective designs for electric-heating systems of different types, which depend on the dimensions of the gasostatic-extruder working space, the parameters of the processed material, the technological requirements for the process, and the temperature and pressure.
