Reaction of Elemental Phosphorus with Thiophenol and Triethylamine as a New Route to Amine Salts of S,S-Diphenyl Hydrogen Phosphorodithioate

Amine salts of S,S-diphenyl hydrogen phosphoro-dithioate are used in biochemical syntheses of nucleotides, nucleosides, and phosphorylated peptides [1,2]. These salts are prepared from either phosphorodichloridates [3,4] or bis (trimethylsilyl) hypophosphite [5] as phosphorus-containing agents.
