摘要

The use of a method for measuring the oxygen activity in steels with 2.5 and 9.0 percent Cr has been studied in order to control the characteristics of oxide inclusions. The composition and number of oxide inclusions can be reliably predicted from data on the oxidation state of the metal and the consumption of deoxidizing agents. The method developed ensures the minimum amount of an oxide phase represented by a certain type of nonmetallic inclusion in the finished metal on the basis of measuring the oxygen activity during the technical process of steelmaking.
