Opening the Door to the Future

摘要

I have the great honor of writing the editorial in the first issue of "Rural and Environmental Engineering" (REE), I have been head of the editorial board of this journal for two years. Thus, I have an obligation to explain the meaning and content ofthe rebirth of the "Journal of Irrigation, Drainage and Rural Engineering" as REE, It is symbolic of the changes underway in our society. To expand the academic activities of our society in the world, we propose to organize a collaboration among our society and sister societies in Asian countries, which will be a way to open the door leading to the future of rural and environmental engineering.
