When the first snowfall hits northwest Wisconsin,Mike Chenoweth knows he'll hear a few groans from his fellow linemen at Polk-Burnett Electric Cooperative in Centuria. But Chenoweth won't be joining in."The guys are all kind of like, 'Yuck,' but I can't wait," says the journeyman lineman/foreman.Sure, as a 32-year veteran of the co-op's line crew, Chenoweth knows he'll have to trudge through snow in subzero temperatures. But he does it knowing a different kind of winter wonderland awaits after work. Chenoweth is a snowboard instructor, and his off-the-job "office" is Trollhaugen, a ski resort three miles from his home. During the season, he'll clock about as many hours each week teaching snowboarders and supervising instructors as he does working at the co-op.
