The event is organized in sections-painting, sculpture, metalwork and jewellery, illustration, and so on-which are grouped together in marquees around the grounds of Waterperry House. As well as the visual arts-including a big ceramics section, music and storytelling are offered, and experienced art teachers give practical classes so that budding artists can try their hand. The vases of Keith Munro have been commissioned by the Museum of Modern Art in New York and by the Pompidou centre in Paris, and collected by designers Giorgio Armani and Sir Terence Conran. In the Ceramics section of Art in Action 2003 you can see Keith, of Cyncoed, Cardiff, demonstrate his way of working, both through his use of the coiling technique and his method of using pebbles to polish the surface.
