摘要

The process in which the grinding wheel (GW) or the workpiece performs oscillatory translation along with the rotational motion is termed oscillatory grinding (OGing). This process is used for grinding the surfaces of considerable length, exceeding the height of the GW, or with a large machining allowance that is removed gradually in the course of a large number of longitudinal passes of the GW and revolutions of the workpiece. OGing is widely used and at the same time has been studied considerably less than in-feed grinding [1]. The quality of the ground surface, as in the other grinding techniques, depends basically on the stiffness of the technological system and the wear of the GW [2]; qualitative and quantitative analyses of the wear were presented in [3].
