It's tyre safety mania now in Europe

I recently attended the National Tyre Distributors Association (NTDA) Tyre Industry Conference 2016 in Birmingham, an event that is always a good measure of what is happening on the ground level of the tyre market not just in the UK but in Europe as well. A number of equally important issues were addressed and commented on. But there was no doubt that the main topic being discussed was the ongoing and worsening problem of part-worn tyres and the growing level of illegal, dangerous tyres still being fitted to vehicles.
