Indian replacement market to cross Rs 305 bn

Increasing numbers of vehicles on the Indian roads will drive the Indian replacement tyre market past the Rs 305 billion ($6 billion) value level, according to research conducted by TechSci research. The Indian tyre manufacturers are ramping up their production capacities in line with growing automobile sales. These capacity expansion plans will ultimately result in tyre production growth of over 13% (CAGE) during the years between 2011 and 2017, the agency says.
