Unholy medical education

Because of AIDS, people have started realising the major occupational hazards attached to the medical profession. If not, the 'price' of doctors would have sky-rocked! In India, getting admission into medical colleges through the non-merit quota is an expensive affair. This is apart from the enormous cost of education for 6-7 years! So, by the time you have finished your simple medical graduation, you would have "invested" a fortune into it. No wonder then that doctors turn unethical and avaricious as they go all out charging their patients heavily with a view to simply "recovering" the huge money they 'invested' in their medical education which has these days reduced to the level of just another business.
