Tyre industry demands check on NR prices

In a recent communication to the Prime Minister, Automotive Tyre Manufacturers Association (ATMA) has asked for duty-free import of 200,000 MT of natural rubber on priority to "cool off' the rising NR prices. The industry has also asked for imposing customs duty on NR on a fixed basis when the NR prices go beyond a certain level.
