Dr. Raghupati Singhania has reasons to be happy and proud. Under his pioneering leadership, JK Tyre has achieved many firsts to its credit. It launched the first steel-belted radial tyre in India and set up hasetri, the first exclusive research institute for tyre and rubber research. The R P Singhania Centre of Excellence (COE) for Tyre and Vehicle Mechanics at the prestigious Chennai campus of the Indian Institute of Technology is involved in studies in Polymer Chemistry and predictive techniques for product performance improvement.
