Vietnam may beat India in NR productivity and output

India may lose the first place in NR productivity and fourth position in NR production to Vietnam in 2013, according lo the forecasts made by ANRPC. India maintained the lead in NR productivity till 2012 when its average annual yield stood at 1,823 kg per hectare of tapped area, closely followed by Vietnam at 1,707 kg. ANRPC expects India's average annual yield to fall to 1,662 kg in 2013, whereas Vietnam's average annual yield is expected to rise to 1,743 kg. This will place India in the second place in global NR productivity.
