Sunny George Verghese is the Co-founder, Group Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Olam international Limited, a global integrated supply chain manager and processor of agricultural products and food ingredients. As the person in charge of strategic planning, business development and overall management of the Olam Group of companies worldwide, Sunny and his team are responsible for the growth of the organisation from a single-product, single-country company in 1989 to a multi-product, multi-national company, supplying food and other agricultural raw materials to over 13,600 customers spread across 65 countries. He has won many awards for meritorious service which include the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year 2008 (Singapore), the 'Best CEO of the Year 2011' at the Singapore Corporate Awards, and the Public service Medal by the Government of the Republic of Singapore in 2010.
