Bayer to produce PU from waste CO2

Bayer A.G. has opened its pilot plant in Leverkusen that uses waste carbon dioxide gas as a raw material to make polyurethane. If the testing phase goes well, industrial production of plastics based on carbon dioxide should start in 2015, the company says.
