Work begins on Hankook's third China plant

A groundbreaking ceremony was held for the third Hankook Tire factory in Liang Jiang Xin Qu, Southwest China, on May 18, 2011. This 11.5 million tyre per annum factory is scheduled to start operation in August 2012, The company has invested $954 million in the unit which will have a capacity to produce up to 4,500 truck and bus radials and 30,000 passenger car radials per day by the end of 2015, the company states.
