US GDP grows by 5.7% in Q4, unemployment rate falls

US GDP grew by an impressive 5.7% annualised pace during the fourth quarter of 2009, the fastest growth the US has seen since 2003, according to the preliminary' fourth quarter GDP calculation released by the US Department, of Commerce. This is the second quarter of positive income growth for the US economy, better than the third quarter's 2.2% growth.
