US trade panel recommends 55% duty for Chinese tyre imports

Duties of upto 55% is likely to be imposed on Chinese tyres imported into the US in an attempt to reduce their effect on local manufacturers. Majority of the US International Trade Commission members has voted in favour of imposing tariffs on passenger car and light commercial vehicle tyres imported from China for a three-year period.
