U.S.tire shipments recover in January, increase 9.1%

Washington-U.S. tire shipments jumped 9.1 percent in January compared with the year-ago month, to 27.6 million units, according to data gathered by the Rubber Manufacturers Association. Canadian tire deliveries also strengthened for the month, rising 4.7 percent to 2.25 million units, Rubber Association of Canada statistics show.
