Dow plans EPDM factory for U.S. Gulf Coast region

Dow Chemical. Co. plans to build a world-scale plant on the U.S. Gulf Coast to produce metallocene EPDM elastomers. Dow expects to open the facility in 2016 and sell the material under the Nordel IP Hydrocarbon Rubber brand, officials said during the International Rubber Expo in Cincinnati. No details were given on the projected investment required.
