Scrap tire wire is gaining momentum as a recycled commodity, but steel makers reamin wary as they strive to overcome quality concerns. The Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries' Ferrous Division approved draft specifications at ISRI's recent 2003 Annual Convention and Exposition in Orlando to define scrap tire wire grades.
