Private equity group sells LTI to another investor company

NEW YORK-LTI Flexible Products Inc. has been purchased by private equity group Snow Phipps Group L.L.C. from Sentinel Capital, another equity firm. A producer of custom engineered elastomeric components, the acquired company-which became more commonly known in the industry as LTI Boyd after it purchased Boyd Corp. in July 2011-operates seven factories, six of those located in the U.S. and one in China. The purchase of LTI Boyd represented an opportunity to acquire a market-leading manufacturer serving a solid customer base with great growth potential, said Jay Twombly, a New York-headquartered Snow Phillips operating partner who will join LTI Boyd as non-executive chairman of the board of directors.
