Twenty years ago SPRI President Tom Petrarca needed the stamina of a marathon runner to keep up with association activities. He finished the Boston race in 2 hours 50 minutes - a serious time. But even Petrarca might have been winded by SPRI's 2007 agenda. Much of this work falls on the shoulders of SPRI's new technical director, Mike Ennis. With more than 30 years experience in the construction industry and 14 years with SPRI, Ennis - a registered roof consultant - is uniquely qualified to guide SPRI's technical activities. Indeed, his previous position as a technical leader for the Dow Chemical Co. was no less demanding. Ennis takes over for retired Technical Director Dave Roodvoets, who joined SPRI soon after its inception and became technical director in 1993.
