Opportunities to speak out on indus-trial safety continue to come my way, and I guess the bottom line is I enjoy doing it. Two recent events I participated in, though not directly "robof'related, were exciting industrial safety-related events that are of importance and should be of interest to the robot community. The first was the introduction of the new Canadian industrial safety standard for lockout programs - CSA Z460-05 Control ofhazardous energy - Lockout and other methods.
