Maintenance support systems using a network technique of programmable controllers

Programmable controllers (PC's) for steel making are widely used independently in S.M.I.'s complicated facilities. Therefore, less expensive user-friendly extensible maintenance support systems have been developped, using personnel computers in local area networks with PC's data, as well as guidance, for operators resulting in decreasing faults and aiding in restructuring efforts.
