Content and phytosorption of managese in littoral vegetation of Lake Wadag (the Olsztyn lake district)

The paper presents the results of studies on the content and phytosorption of manganese in the dominant species of phytocenoses in Lake Wadag, in the years 1993 - 1994. The paper provides, for the first time, the data concerning the manganese contentof and its phytosorption by macrophytes in Lake Wadag. The annual manganese retention was estimated for 29 species. It varied from 26.96 #mu#g/g in Iris pseudoacorus to 6302.38 #mu#g/g in Polygonum amphibium f. natans. The highest level of phytosorptionwas noted in Potmogeton natans - 1051.271 mg/m~2.
