Electron impact excitation of the n~1S_0-n~1P_1 resonance spectral lines of Ca,Zn and Cd atoms

摘要

We have studied the optical excitation functions (OEF)for three resonance spectral lines emerging from the n~1P_1-levels of Ca,Cd and Zn atoms using a modified hypocycloidal monochromator to produce the electron beam with the 10-70meV energy spread.In the OEFs measured from the excitation threshold up to 16 eV,14 features were revealed.The analysis of the obtained results has enabled us to explain more deeply the processes of population of the investigated levels.
