摘要

Leaf samples collected from Dumka region of Jharkhand state of India have been analysed for trace uranium concentrations using the fSUsion track technique. Lexan polycarbonate was used as detector for recording fSUsion tracks. The uranium in dry leaf samples was found to vary from 72 to 879 ng/g. The reSUlts obtained for U-concentration are exSUting data compared with the data of some leaf samples from other Indian states. As reactor neutron spectra SU associated with both, thermal and fast neutron fluxes, corrections to the present uranium data due to fast neutron fSUsion of Th-232 were also applied.
