摘要

Recently,two papers on mechanistic modeling of virtually the same Czech and French miner data appeared in this journal [1,2].The second paper contains a section("Comparison with the biologically based TMC model")aiming to explain the differences between the approaches followed in both papers.In our opinion,this paragraph needs some further clarification for the reader to fully appreciate the reasons for the different approaches and enable a true comparison.
