TRIBUTE TO A GOOD FRIEND

When I was doing my retinal fellowship, I became very impressed by the collaborative work being done in our field by Larry Yannuzzi, Howard Schatz, and Kurt Gitter. I was impressed not only with the quality and importance of their work but also with the power of their collaboration in producing significant contributions. I decided then that I wanted such collaborative relationships to be a part of my professional career. I never could have even dreamed how large a part of my career such collaborations would become or that they would very much include those same individuals.
