Removal of posteriorly dislocated posterior chamber intraocular lens without removing stable anterior chamber intraocular lens-slide under technique.

We describe a new technique to remove the posteriorly dislocated posterior chamber intraocular lens without explanting already implanted anterior chamber intraocular lens.Standard three-port pars plana vitrectomy was performed. In both the cases, posterior vitreous detachment was already present. After the cortical vitrectomy, the intraocular lens was freed from the surrounding vitreous adhesion and made to lie flat on to the retina. Peripheral vitrectomy was completed carefully. A 6-mm limbal incision was made specifically away from the ACIOL haptics-temporal in both the cases. This was important so that we could slide out the PCIOL between the ACIOL and the iris. Viscoat (Alcon Laboratories, Fort Worth, TX) was injected over the ACIOL to coat the comeal endothelium and the anterior surface of ACIOL.
