Rhegmatogenous retinal detachment has been reported to occur in up to 2.49% of eyes following penetrating keratoplasty in aphakic or pseudophakic eyes, particularly if an anterior vitrectomy is performed. In the past 20 years, pneumatic retinopexy has gained acceptance as an alternative method of repairing retinal detachments. The best candidates for pneumatic retinopexy are those with a single tear that is smaller than 1 clock hour and confined to the superior two thirds of the fundus. Several complications following pneumatic retinopexy have been reported. We report a patient who developed a partial dehiscence of the corneal graft during pneumatic retinopexy.
