THE FUTURE FOR explorer Frontier Resources in Papua New Guinea is looking rosy, after signing a series of promising joint ventures with world class gold and copper producers Newcrest Mining and Ok Tedi Mining for most of its large PNG tenements.Since last speaking to RESOURCESTOCKS, Frontier managing director Peter McNeil said finalising the deal with Newcrest had been a big boost for the PNG-focused explorer."The JVs are very important, because they define what Frontier is, and in terms of probability, you need to have exposure to many projects in order to be able to potentially discover one. So that's what we've done," McNeil said.
