摘要

Ring opening polymerisation (ROP), initiated by tin octoate, is a convenient method of preparing well-defined polymers based on poly(ε-caprolactone) (PCL). When used in conjunction with hydroxy-functional compounds, it is possible to make interesting telechelics, macromolecules, graft copolymers, linear and star-shaped block copolymers with pre-determined molecular weights and low polydispersities.This paper reports the synthesis of a mid-chain cyclohexene oxide-functional macromonomer based on PCL by the ROP of 8-caprolactone with 4,4-dimethylolcyclohexene, followed by epoxidation with 3-chloroperoxybenzoic acid during workup.
