Brazil waste landfilled in Suffolk

Waste that was sent to Brazil for recycling but then returned to the UK has been landfilled at a site in Suffolk after the Environment Agency claimed it could not be recycled. The baled material, which the Agency confirmed did not contain medical waste as the Brazilian authorities had alleged, was disposed of at Viridor's Great Blakenham site, near to the Port of Felixstowe, where the waste was shipped to.
