Joint declaration of UEA and EFBWW on the emission of formaldehyde from panels used within the production of furniture

On the 3rd December 2012, a joint declaration was made by the European Furniture Manufacturers Federation (UEA) and the European Federation of Building and Wood Workers (EFBWW) on the emission of formaldehyde from panels used in the production of furniture. The primary concern is for the health and safety of the workers and in the long term the federations would like to see emission levels from wood-based products to be the same as those from natural wood.
