Although some modern Christians view "necessary" death, pain, and suffering as a pious virtue, in the Bible death is an anomaly to be vanquished by Christ. Therefore, Christians who "remain in the flesh for the joy of the brethren" should support life extension. One needs only use the Bible for biblical reference to Christian views on life, death, afterlife, and life extension. But, for further support, I am throughout this text inspired by the ethical musings of Dr. King-tak Ip of Hong Kong. Western society is primarily based on Christian values, and therefore even the most secular must take the Bible into account when discussing matters of life extension. The Christian views on death, resurrection, and salvation reflect upon Chrsitian life and whether it should be extended.
