DUPONT, P&G BRING CELLULOSIC ETHANOL TO DETERGENT INDUSTRY

DuPont and Procter & Gamble (P&G) in early October said that cellulosic ethanol, rather than corn-based ethanol, will be used in a commercial-scale laundry detergent for the first time, local press reports said. Using cellulosic ethanol in the detergent will mark the first time that ethanol from biomass will be used for laundry detergent in a scaled-up, commercial way, the companies said.
