Everyone wants it. But how do we know equipment delivers? Epta's John Austin-Davies reports. How many times have you been told by a supplier that his products are now more energy efficient than the previous ones, or more efficient than his competitor's, or that this device or control will save anything from one to 50 per cent of the energy consumption? How do you know that equipment delivers what the salesman claims? Looking at the electricity bill is an obvious option. But people who try this route often find that there are too many variables that can lead to doubt.
