The culmination of Italian based ACC Compressors' development work in high efficiency compressors is the introduction of the RSD (Rated Speed Drive) compressor, which combines improved mechanical kit with an electronically controlled electric motor operating at a pre-selected speed. Running as slowly as 1,600rpm the compressor combines the features of high start torque with low start-up power consumption, so that savings of about 30 percent in power consumption, says the company, is achieved against a standard compressor used in the majority of back bar bottle coolers.
