Synthesis of TiC-WC solution in hydrogen containing an equilibrium amount of methane

摘要

A new ecologically pure method for preparing aTiC - WC solid solution in hydrogen containing an equilibriumamount of methane is described. The suggested method providesthe requisite content of carbon in TiC - WC with the desiredaccuracy. The use of a methane - hydrogen medium makes itpossible to obtain a solid solution without using carbon black,which eliminates penetration of harmful impurities contained incarbon black into the solid solution, the properties of the hardalloys are improved, and the contamination of the ambient isprevented. An optimum variant for obtaining a TiC - WC solidsolution in a methane hydrogen medium is suggested.
