9th edition of the Aluminium Two Thousand Congress, held May 12-16, 2015, in Florence, Italy, was for the first time held together with the 5th International Conference on Extrusion and Benchmark (ICEB). The two events were jointly organized by Interall Srl, University of Bologna, Institute of Lightweight Construction and Forming Technology (IUL), and TU Dortmund. This pairing provided a two-in-one event that brought together 415 participants from 41 countries, representing extrusion companies, users of extrusion profiles, anodizing and coating companies, foundries, DC billet casters, extrusion press and equipment builders, die makers, software houses, automotive companies, architectural product manufacturers, and academic and industrial research departments. Among the participants were many friendly faces from Aluminium Two Thousand 2013, which had been held in Milan.
