19~(th) Annual Int'l Titanium Association Conference Review

摘要

This was the nineteenth conference in a series originating in Keystone, Colorado, in 1984. (There was no conference held in 1992, the year that the World Titanium Conference was held in the U.S. under the auspices of what was then the Titanium Development Association). The conference was well attended, with 440 delegates from 25 countries around the world. This included a strong delegation from the former Soviet Union (FSU) countries; but noticeable by their absence, after attendance in large numbers at the World Titanium Conference in Hamburg, Germany (July 2003), were the Chinese. As is normal for the International Titanium Association (ITA) conferences, the main thrust of the presentations was directed towards applications, in contrast to the Hamburg conference where science/technology was the order of the day.
