With an increasingly open economic policy, growing political stability and the lifting of key US sanctions, Myanmar is ripe for investment. However, Myanmar faces a severe electricity shortage. Despite having an estimated 18.7 trillion cubic feet of natural gas reserves, only less than 30 percent of Myanmar's population has access to electricity.
