Southern Union reports that it has received approval from the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission to place its Trunkline LNG infrastructure enhancement project (IEP) into service.

The company added that the IEP involved two separate components: the installation of four ambient air vaporization units and the construction of a natural gas liquids extraction facility. Trunkline LNG, is located in Lake Charles, Louisiana, and uses ambient air vaporization technology. The Trunkline LNG terminal is fully contracted to BG LNG Services through 2030.
