The fall in the value of naphtha capped interest for LPG as a competitive substitute feedstock from the petrochemicals sector. A South Korean consumer sold 33,000t of June arrival butane to traders at around $690/t cfr. A butane-rich 44,000t parcel from west Africa was heard to have traded from a western trading company to a major oil firm at July Saudi Contract Price plus $25/t cfr Singapore-Taiwan.
