Mammillaria - a splitter's review (the series Longiflorae)

Mammillaria taxonomy is discussed with reference to series Longiflorae (M. longiflora, M. longiflora subsp. stampferi, M. saboae, M. saboae subsp. goldii and M. theresae from north-west to west Mexico, and M. napina, M. hernandezii, M. deherdtiana,M. deherdtiana subsp. dodsonii and M. tepexicensis from south Mexico) and the difficulties encountered in the taxonomy of this genus. Each species is described with geographical distribution, botany, morphology, history in cultivation and brief notes onbehaviour in cultivation.
