Nigeria eases LPG tax and import duties

Worried about the rising price of LPG in the Nigerian domestic market,the Nigerian government has approved a 30pc customs duty waiver on all imported LPG and removed value added tax(VAT)on LPG retail sales.The measures,according to presidential aide on petroleum Jafaru Paki,are meant to force down retail LPG prices,which have risen sharply over the past year(seep2).
