Iran is set to join the ranks of the Mideast Gulf's major LPG producers,with key developments already under way at its massive South Pars gas field expected to turn it from net importer to net exporter.With domestic demand running at around 2.4mn t/yr,and domestic refinery production by state-owned NIOC running at just l.8mn t/yr,Iran depends on imports from Caspian countries such as Turkmenistan,Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan to meet its consumption.
